Innovations in the online market or rather if we say; Experiments conducted to upgrade the popularity of online business have brought a great deal of customers to this mode. For instance, the purchase of sacrificial (Qurbani) animal has gained popularity as it is found to be the most convenient way of buying an animal for the ceremonious day of Eid-ul-Adha.

Benefits of an Online purchase, when weighed with that of the strain one has to take in going to the animal markets, spending countless exhausting hours, bargaining for the one you have finally chosen and then taking the trouble of loading the animal to bring it home, proves comfortable, quick and may be effortless too (if you find an animal that fits your financial range from the very first website that you survey). The animals being sold on the online forums are though expensive however, it is worth that price because it saves your time, fuel expense, energy and the stressful wandering that you would have to do for it. There are even some websites that provide you the complete on whole details of the animals with their display pictures on their WebPages, such as its weight, age, teeth etc.  Moreover, if customers want to see the animal for themselves i.e. the farms where these animals are being brought up or fed at then they are also provided with the opportunity to look and decide as it is a very sacred matter and the website owners want to maintain their position as the most trusted one in the business of Online Qurbani.

The guarantee which any buyer anticipates in an online dealer is the guarantee of the animal’s health and the assurance that the one they have chosen, only that would be delivered at their place. If trust and proper governance will be put in the online market then this can facilitate a lot who are eager to take advantage from this medium and save time for themselves.

Muslims all over the world want to sacrifice animal at the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha as to celebrate the Sunnah of our Prophet (P.B.U.H). However, some feel the urge to distribute meat of the qurbani animal as to please ALLAH and in making the destitute and downtrodden beings happy at this event.

People who very much want to share their qurbani meat with the poor ones can now easily be benefited by the online qurbani whereby registering their qurbani at a trustworthy site which will enable them to enjoy Eid peacefully at their homes without ever worrying about the animal, its slaughtering expense, the hygienic and healthy way of cutting the animal’s meat etc. All this will be the responsibility of the website owners and employees to satisfy their customer’s needs and requirements and following them according to the way they like it to be conducted. These sites send the qurbani meat to such welfare organizations where sufferers of poverty are treated well, and this act is only executed either when the customer does not pick up qurbani meat or else he had simply instructed them to deliver the meat to such institutions.

In this way the desire of Muslims to feed the poverty stricken half our society can be easily fulfilled and no stress will be for you to deal with. In a way you can now make your Eid a safe, healthy and contented one for you and particularly for others as well by the inception of such websites in the online business. Moreover, if Muslims try looking at the other side of the coin too then it is apparent that for whose gratification Muslims strive all their lives i.e. ALLAH, HE will also be appreciative of this human act in which the poor are also made equal partners to share, eat and express their joy for HIS blessings at this holy and sacred event.

Eid-ul-Adha commemorates Prophet Ibrahim’s [pbuh] unconditional submission to the Allah. He [pbuh] was willing to sacrifice his son Ismail [pbuh] after God commanded him [pbuh] to do so in a dream. Moments before Ibrahim [pbuh] could sacrifice Ismail [pbuh], Allah sent down a lamb in his place. The act of Qurbani symbolizes one’s willingness to submit to Allah’s will, to make self-sacrifice, even if it doesn’t correspond to our personal rulebook.

But animal rights activists are unable to understand this. They’re campaigning for ritual sacrifices to be banned and point to animal rights abuses that occur under the disguise of religion. While Muslim scholars dismiss this as anti-Islamic propaganda some site it as a legitimate concern. At some point Australia stopped exporting cattle to Egypt ahead of the Eid-ul-Adha, citing video footage of animal cruelty. This included sheep being strapped to the roofs of cars, dumped into trunks for transporting and mass slaughtered on the streets in plain sight of other animals queuing to be killed. Such practices are violation of the Islamic laws of sacrificing—quickly, with minimum pain and out of sight of other animals.

In many Muslim countries, ritual animal sacrifices are permitted as a hands-on experience of Eid. But for Muslims who are vegetarian, the sacrifice is hardly acceptable. For some people it’s challenging having to reconcile religious duty with personal choice. Thus as an alternative they give money to a charitable organization which performs the sacrifice on their behalf. Similar concerns about the inhumane treatment of animals and belief in the sanctity of all life have prompted some Muslims to adopt a vegetarian diet. They don’t view slaughtering as obligatory and prefer to demonstrate their faith in other ways like distribute money or food packages to the poor on their behalf. Others who have become vegetarian for health and moral reasons voice that even though they do not practice this ritual there are lots of things they do practice in Islam.

Irrespective what rights activists or vegetarians say, Qurbani is obligatory for Muslims adults if they meet the conditions laid down by Allah.

One night Prophet Ibrahim [pbuh] had a dream. He dreamt that Allah has told him to sacrifice Ismail. The next night Ibrahim [pbuh] had the same dream. Ibrahim [pbuh] knew that Allah would only ask him to do such a thing if he had good reason. Even though he loved his son dearly, he was prepared to do this difficult thing for Allah. Ibrahim [pbuh] told Ismail [pbuh] they had to go to Mount Arafat. He took a knife and a rope with him. On the way they passed a place called Mina. The devil, Shaytan, came to Ibrahim [pbuh] and tried to talk him out of sacrificing his son [pbuh]. Ibrahim [pbuh] turned his back on him and would not listen, when he wouldn’t dismiss Ibrahim [pbuh] and Ismail [pbuh] threw stones at him. When they reached Mount Arafat, Ibrahim [pbuh] told Ismail [pbuh] what Allah wanted him to do. Ismail listened and accepted what was to happen. He was an exceptional child. He too was a great prophet. Ismail told his father to tie his hands and legs and blindfold himself so he would not struggle and make his father even more upset than he was going to be and Ibrahim [pbuh] was blindfolded so he would not see his son suffer. Ibrahim [pbuh] as Ismail [pbuh] had said. He [pbuh] then took the knife and did what Allah had told him [pbuh] to do. When he [pbuh] took the blindfold from his eyes he looked down, not at his son but at a dead lamb. Ismail [pbuh] was at his side. Ibrahim [pbuh] was afraid. He thought he had disobeyed but then he heard a voice telling him not to worry. Allah looks after his followers. Ibrahim [pbuh] and Ismail [pbuh] had passed a difficult test.

Each year, during the month of Dhul Hijjah, many Muslims, from all over the world, travel to Makkah, remembering what Ibrahim [pbuh] and Ismail [pbuh] did. Similarly in the month of Dhul Hijjah pilgrims go to Makkah, Mina and Arafat. They sacrifice animals just as Allah commanded Ibrahim to do in memory of the deed. We must obey Allah's commands as Ibrahim and Ismail did. We obey by doing the things we know are right, praying, obeying our parents and always telling the truth.

Sacrifice performed at the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha, following in the footsteps of Hazrat Ibrahim who had set a praiseworthy example of his submission to the will of ALLAH, is given an elevated position in the eyes of ALLAH. In the process of Qurbani which is an animal sacrifice, there is a separate portion asked to be distributed among the destitute and poor souls dying with the pangs of hunger. ALLAH appreciates the one who does give away the meat to the ones who are stringently made the recipients of this HALAL qurbani.

On the other hand, Charity is another way of helping the underprivileged and poor mortal beings living in the hope to get a day’s meal to fill in their children’s unfed stomach. Such needy people can be helped even if you do not have the stipulated amount one has to have to perform qurbani from which a fraction of meat is set aside for the poverty stricken half dwelling in our society.

Consequently, both sacrifice and charity are more or less done to please ALLAH by serving his people with a pure and sincere intention at heart. Sacrifice is made obligatory therefore, people feel compelled to comfort poor people in order to free themselves of the burden that their sacrifice would have been incomplete if this share would not have reached to the ones deserving it. However, charity is done only when one feels inclined to the people in agony, who are seen struggling with their lives in the hope to breathe in the ray of light which could bring to them a day’s happiness which is food and clothing mainly.

Therefore, to me both ways can lead to the same satisfaction that one is in search of after helping another person but it all depends on the person’s purpose with which he does charity or performs qurbani.
